Hannah is a Chartered Tax Adviser specialising in looking after the tax affairs for: private clients; individuals; families; trusts; estates; and partnerships.
Providing both tax advisory and compliance services, Hannah enjoys getting to know her clients and their goals.
Examples of work undertaken include:
- Completion of self-assessment tax returns.
- Completion of 60-day capital gains tax returns for sales of residential property.
- Dealing with HMRC enquiries and disclosures.
- Remuneration planning for company directors and shareholders.
- Bespoke family office services.
- Inheritance Tax quantification and succession planning.
- Working alongside financial planners on an ongoing basis to ensure the client’s position is considered holistically.
Projects have included:
- Advising shareholders of their personal tax position and claims which can be made on a sale of the Company and presentation of this to shareholder groups.
- Confirming the likely availability of Business Property Relief (IHT relief) for a wedding venue including manor house.
- Application and practical advice in relation to the UK statutory residence tests, split-year treatment and double tax relief.
- Drafting of a UK tax FAQ document for employees of a US Inc in receipt of LTIPs and RSUs, and separately the making of various tax disclosures in relation to such share awards.
Prior to joining Corrigan Hannah was a private client specialist at a top 10 firm for eight years and was called to the Bar. She is also the Chair of the Chartered Institute of Tax and Association of Tax Technicians Bristol Branch.
